                  Ashley Haslett was appointed Communications Manager
                  of The British Columbia & Yukon Hotels'
                  Association in 2004. Haslett is responsible for
                  media relations as well as communicating matters of
                  policy to hoteliers, industry partners, and
                  government. "Ashley is an experienced
                  communications and government relations
                  professional," says James Chase, Chief Executive
                  Officer of the BCYHA. "Having worked for government
                  in three different jurisdictions, he brings with
                  him a wealth of experience and we welcome him at a
                  very exciting time forour organization."
 Prior to
                  joining the BCYHA, Haslett served as a Constituency
                  Assistant for Vancouver- Burrard MLA Lorne
                  Mayencourt, was a Ministerial Advisor for the South
                  Australia Government, and was an Executive
                  Assistant for the Minister of Health, Government of
                  Manitoba. His government and public relations
                  experience will serve the BCYHA members well in
                  this new position. Headquartered
                  in Vancouver, the BCYHA is dedicated to improving
                  and growing the tourism and hospitality industry
                  within British Columbia and the Yukon. With 580
                  hotel members and nearly 200 affiliate members, it
                  represents an industry with revenue in excess of
                  $3.1 billion, 48,000 rooms and more than 45,000
                  employees. A significant component of BC's $9.3
                  billion tourism trade with member representation in
                  almost every community throughout BC and the Yukon
                  gives the association a strong voice at all levels
