SAIC Awarded Contract to Support EPA Climate Change Division

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today that it was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Air and Radiation, Climate Change Division with technical and outreach support services for domestic and global climate change programs.

The contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total ceiling value of $27 million if the customer exercises all options. SAIC was one of six companies awarded the contract, and was the only non-incumbent selected.

SAIC will perform tasks as required on this contract including: climate science impacts and adaptation, economic analysis, emissions modeling, atmospheric modeling, international capacity building, technology evaluation, energy markets assessment, Web development, software and systems development, program support, outreach, meeting logistics and program evaluation. After many years of climate change-related support to the EPA, this contract represents SAIC's first prime contract for the Climate Change Division.
