Beaton River:

Accessible from Fort St. John, British Columbia on the Alaska HIghway, it flows NW. The river was named after Frank Worth Beaton, who lived until 1945, shortly after the the Alaska Highway was opened. Born in Scotland, he was employed with the Hudson's Bay Company at various trading posts.
