MARITZ TRAVEL OFFERS CLIENTS OUT-OF-WORLD EXPERIENCE WITH ZERO-G's ZERO-GRAVITY FLIGHTS

Actual Parabolic Flights Are Closest Experience to Flying in Outerspace

ST. LOUIS: As a premier incentive travel company known for offering clients unforgettable and first-time experiences, Maritz Travel consistently looks for groundbreaking, qualified suppliers. Of course, a bonus is finding one "above the ground," such as ZERO-G, the new weightless flight company, launching this week, where anyone can experience the fun and exhilarating feeling of weightlessness, an experience previously available only to astronauts. Touted as providing the closest experience to being in orbit, Zero Gravity Corporation is the first and only company approved by the FAA to conduct "weightless flights" for the public.

Maritz Travel will begin offering The ZERO-G Experience to coincide with ZERO-G's launch and first public flight taking place at Newark Liberty International Airport. The package will consist of a full-day program led by a veteran astronaut and a weightless flight on G-FORCE ONE, ZERO-G's specially-modified Boeing 727-200 cargo aircraft.

Each flyer can experience Martian (1/3 gravity), Lunar (1/6 gravity) and zero gravity conditions. Weightlessness is created inside the aircraft by a parabolic flight pattern similar to a 10,000-foot "roller coaster" at between 22,000 and 32,000 feet altitude. The parabolic flight patterns temporarily counteract Earth's gravity; thereby creating prolonged weightlessness giving flyers the opportunity to experience what it feels like to float in space.

"Adding The ZERO-G Experience to Maritz Travel will enhance our ability to offer unparalleled travel and meeting experiences that help companies motivate and change the behaviors of their customers and employees," states Maritz Travel vice president of industry relations Alicia Feito, who personally enjoyed the thrill of the ZERO-G Experience. "Now we can offer the closest experience to a trip to the moon, along with our other notable incentive offerings such as cocktails on an ice glacier in Alaska and dinner on the Great Wall of China."

"ZERO-G's mission is to make the excitement and adventure of space safe, fun and affordable for the general public," said Dr. Peter Diamandis, founder, chairman and CEO of Zero Gravity Corporation. "To that end, the company has worked steadfastly with the FAA through three presidential administrations to break new ground and take the first real steps towards space tourism with the commercial availability of weightless flight. We are excited to bring the marvel of weightless flight to Americans."
