EMIRATES
ENHANCES MIDDLE EAST NETWORK
DUBAI,
U.A.E.:Emirates Airline will strengthen its Middle
East route network with additional flights to
Amman, Jordan as well as Riyadh and Jeddah, both
located in Saudi Arabia, starting February 2009.
These additions follow the airline's recent
increase of services to Damascus in December, from
nine to 11 flights a week.
Nigel Page, Senior
Vice President, Commercial Operations, The
Americas, said: "Emirates' presence in the Middle
East has consistently grown since the airline
launched global operations in 1985. As the number
of Americans traveling to the Middle East for
business and leisure continues to rise, Emirates
looks to provide more flight options and ease
connections for passengers traveling to Dubai and
beyond."
In the first week
of February, Emirates will add flights to three
cities in the region &endash; one additional flight
to Riyadh, two additional flights to Amman, and one
additional flight to Jeddah. These new
services will enable greater access and facilitate
traffic flows between the Middle East and key
markets in Europe, Africa, Indian Sub Continent,
Far East and Australian points.
"We are committed
to providing the most connective service throughout
the region, and with the continued increase in
customer demand we are pleased to serve their needs
with further development of our operations. By
February, Emirates will serve 14 cities in the
Middle East with 180 flights per week," Page
noted.
