Airlines Offers First and Business Class Passengers
Free Travel After Completing Roundtrip Transpacific
Journey

SEGUNDO, California: Japan Airlines announced today
that it will offer its First and Executive class
passengers a free economy-class award ticket upon
completing one qualifying adult normal-fare
roundtrip journey across the Pacific between August
1 and September 30, 2003. Passengers must be
residents of the U.S. or Canada and originate their
journey from either country. Free economy-class
award travel is valid for travel to/from Japan
AirlinesÕ Asia and Oceania regions on
JAL/JALways or within North America on American
Airlines.

To qualify, travelers must
belong to JAL's frequent flyer program, JAL Mileage
Bank, and accrue the qualifying roundtrip mileage
in their JMB account. Membership in the JAL Mileage
Bank is free. U.S. and Canadian residents can
enroll instantly online at www.japanair.com or via
telephone at 1-800-JAL-MILE.
Award tickets will be valid
for travel between October 1, 2003, and March 31,
2004. All JMB terms and conditions for award travel
shall apply including taxes/fee requirements and
award travel embargoes.

Terms & Conditions of
campaign:
This campaign is available
to customers residing in the U.S.A./Canada flying
on JAL/JALways transpacific roundtrip during the
specified campaign period from the U.S.A.
(excluding Guam and Saipan)/Canada to
Japan/Asia/Oceania using a qualifying First or
Executive class published adult full fare ticket
purchased in the U.S.A./Canada. Customer must be a
JAL Mileage Bank(JMB)member in the American Region.
Non-JMB member customers must enroll in JMB before
flight boarding. Campaign registration is required.
Qualifying travel must be ticketed and flown
between 8/01/03 and 9/30/03. Qualifying flights
must be posted to the JMB account in order to be
eligible for this campaign.
Valid only on flights
operated by JAL/JALways, and not on Japan
Airlines-marketed code share flights operated by
other airlines. Special fares booked in "D" class
or "I" class are not eligible. Special Fares not
eligible for mileage accumulation are not eligible
for this campaign. This campaign can be combined
with other campaigns including the "JMB 20th
anniversary campaign." Offer may be earned an
unlimited number of times. Campaign is subject to
change without notice. Other restrictions may

Free Award Ticket Terms and
Conditions:
Free economy-class award
tickets are valid for roundtrip travel on JAL/
JALways between North America and Japan
/Asia/Oceania or on American Airlines within and
between the U.S.A.(excluding Guam and
Saipan)/Canada/Mexico/the Bahamas/ Bermuda/the
Caribbean. Free economy-class award tickets can be
booked only through Japan Airlines 7 days after the
qualifying round trip travel is posted to the JMB
account. (Earned flight mileage is posted 4-5 days
after the flight date.) Award tickets are valid for
travel between 10/1/03 and 3/31/04. Blackout dates
for award ticket in conjunction with this campaign
shall apply, which are the same as JMB award
tickets. JAL must receive award ticket request at
least 15 days prior to the customer's desired
receipt date. Award ticket can be used by the JMB
member or his/her eligible relative as specified in
JMB Rules and Conditions. Award ticket must be
booked in the required economy class award booking
class. Seats are limited and may not be available
on all flights or on all days of the week.
Passenger is responsible for all taxes and fees.
Once award ticket is issued, a refund or route
change is not permitted. A combination using
JAL/JALways and American Airlines is not permitted
for award travel. Unless otherwise specified, the
rules and conditions applicable to JMB award ticket
will also apply to the award tickets. For complete

www.japanair.com. Passenger traveling on the award
ticket will not accrue JMB miles or earn FLYON
points. Schedules, equipment and destinations are
subject to change. Offer is subject to change
without notice. Other restrictions may

Free ticket additional
Taxes/Fees:
Taxes and fees related to
the free award travel are the sole responsibility
of the passenger and may include Passenger Facility
Charges of up to $18, depending upon the itinerary;
U.S. departure, agricultural, immigration, customs
and security taxes/surcharge of up to $47;
additional airport, transportation, embarkation
security, duty, equalization and passenger service
taxes/surcharges up to $35*. A U.S. $3.20 insurance
surcharge will be charged per person for each
JAL/JALways flight segment or the equivalent
amount.
*Amounts subject to
fluctuation as it is based on the currency exchange
rate at the time of ticket issuance.
